This is the number of unique users who interact with your website in a month, regardless of whether a personalized experience or active experiment impacts them. Each plan has an MAU quota with the flexibility to purchase additional volume as needed.

By default, known bots and web crawlers do not count toward your MAU limit on paid plans, since we provide a bot filtering feature that excludes this traffic from your experiences and experiments. However, if you choose to disable the bot filtering feature, we'll treat bots as regular users and will include them in your MAU count.

In this case, you can upgrade your plan to accommodate more users, enable the Pay As You Grow (PAYG) feature in your current plan to cover the extra users, or do nothing. If you choose not to take action, the service will be unavailable to your application (meaning it won't track events, deliver personalization, default content, or AB testing variants) until you adjust your plan or the plan automatically renews for the following month. You will still be able to access the admin panel during this time.

A slot is a context-specific placeholder in your application that defines where content goes and what type of content can be displayed. While components are the reusable building blocks (like a hero section), slots are the specific placeholders (like a home hero) where those components are rendered.
