Travel site on Storyblok, combining campaign source and geo across a whole journey

Asked by Paloma Reyes on

Hi everyone! We run a travel booking site on Storyblok and I have a very concrete use case. We are launching a flight-deal campaign for Mexico City and I want visitors landing from that campaign to keep seeing CDMX-themed heroes and offers as they browse to the next pages, not just on the landing page.

So two questions:

  1. Can one experience span multiple pages like that, or do I need to configure each page separatly?
  2. Can I combine "came from the campaign" with "is actually in Mexico City" in the same condition? Ideally show the geo version even to people who did not click the ad.

Really excited to get this working before the campaign goes live!

Both are supported, and you can do it in a single experience.

1. Spanning pages

Journey personalization spans multiple pages, so one experience can cover the landing page hero plus the offer blocks on the following pages. You do not configure each page separately; you add the relevant slots to the experience and define the content for each.

2. Combining campaign and geo

Audiences combine conditions with AND/OR, so you can express exactly what you described:

campaign's source is "google" and location's cityName is "Mexico City"

If you want the geo version shown even to people who did not click the ad, switch the and to or, or create two audiences with different content if the messaging should differ. Location and Marketing are among the 100+ signals available, and audiences are evaluated in real time on each interaction, so a visitor who arrives from the campaign is matched from the first page view.

For the geo side specifically, there is a walkthrough in Geo-targeted blocks in Storyblok.

For what it is worth, CVC, a travel company, saw +42% content engagement with this kind of setup, with experiments launched in about 20 minutes, so the timeline before your campaign goes live should not be a problem.
