Does sending variant and audience data to Clarity mean shipping personal data?
My team is strict about what leaves our systems, and I need sign-off before enabling any new outbound flow. Connecting Clarity means Croct pushes data into a third party, so I want to confirm precisely whether any personal or profile information travels with it before I approve the integration.

No personal or profile data is sent. The outbound flow to Clarity carries only the segmentation dimensions: the audiences a visitor fits, the experiences that impacted them, the experiments they participated in, and the variants they were assigned. There is no name, email, address, or other profile attribute in the payload, so the enrichment carries no PII.
This fits Croct's broader posture. Croct is privacy-first and cookieless by default, storing the client identifier in localStorage rather than relying on third-party data, and the default auto mode is consent-aware, so tracking only happens when consent allows it. That means the segmentation data that reaches Clarity was itself gathered under those defaults.
The exported field list is documented under the analytics integrations overview, and the consent behavior of the default auto mode is described in the event tracking reference.
