Installed the Optimize app but I do not see any Croct field on my blocks
installed the Optimize app from the Storyblok app directory and I assumed a Croct field would just show up on every block automatically. it did not. the blocks look exactly the same as before.
what I already checked: the app is installed on the space, the space has a couple of published stories, and I reloaded the editor a few times. still nothing on the blocks. what step am I missing here

The field is not auto-injected, that is the missing piece. Installing the app does not touch your blocks. You add a Croct field to a block yourself in the block schema, then connect that field to a matching Croct slot. Do it on the blocks you actually want to personalize.
Prereqs are just the app installed from the directory and a space with at least one story, which you have. Once you add the field and link it, the existing Storyblok content on that block stays as the default fallback, so nothing changes for visitors until you build an experience on the slot.
that was it. I thought installing was the whole setup. added the field to the hero block, linked it, showing up now. thanks
Worth knowing there are two separate listings in the app directory and people mix them up. The Optimize app is the one you install on the space. The Croct field plugin for block-level A/B testing inside the Visual Editor is a distinct listing. If you only ever installed the Optimize app you may still need the field plugin available so the field type shows up when you edit the block schema.
