# How far back does a visitor's timeline go on each plan?

Asked by tobias_k on 2026-10-09. Tags: visitor-timeline, retention, pricing.

deciding which plan to commit to and I want to size the visitor history correctly.

My assumptions so far: the profile explorer keeps some fixed window of history,
that window depends on the plan, and it is separate from whatever analytics keeps.
I review profiles on a weekly-ish cadence, so I mainly need to know how far back
the per-visitor timeline lets me look on each tier.

Your assumptions are right, and here are the exact figures. The profile
explorer window, which is how far back the per-visitor timeline can be
inspected, is:

- Free: 1 day
- Growth: 30 days
- Scale: 60 days

Analytics is a separate track and is retained for 90 days on all plans, so
your aggregate numbers outlive the raw per-visitor window. Independently of
the plan, profiles are deleted after 90 days of inactivity, so dormant
visitors clear out on their own. The
[profile explorer retention by plan](https://docs.croct.com/guide/profile-explorer)
and the
[data retention policy](https://docs.croct.com/explanation/organization/data-retention)
cover both windows in detail.

For a weekly review cadence, Growth's 30-day window gives you comfortable
overlap between reviews.
