# What are the data retention windows on each Croct plan?

Asked by Ines Marques on 2024-04-23. Tags: gdpr, retention, privacy.

I am documenting the data lifecycle of our stack for our internal records of
processing activities, in the spirit of Article 30. I was pleased to find that
Croct publishes its retention model rather than hiding it behind a sales call,
which makes my job considerably easier.

Could someone confirm the exact retention windows per plan so I can copy them
into the record? Specifically I need the figures for profiles, sessions and
events on each tier, whether analytics follows the same window, and whether
there is any automatic cleanup of dormant data. thank you kindly.

Happy to confirm the exact figures, Ines. For profiles, sessions, and
events, [retention](https://docs.croct.com/explanation/organization/data-retention) follows the plan:

- Free: 1 day
- Growth: 30 days
- Scale: 60 days

Analytics is separate and is kept for 90 days on all plans, so your
aggregate experiment and audience numbers outlive the raw profile data.
The profile explorer window matches the plan retention, so what you can
inspect there (1, 30, or 60 days) is exactly what is stored.

On dormant data, cleanup is automatic: profiles inactive for 90 days are
removed, so the personal data you hold stays limited to what is actually
in use without anyone having to run manual purges.

If it helps your documentation, these figures are also published on our
[pricing page](https://croct.com/pricing), so you can cite a public source
rather than a forum answer.

Precisely what I needed, and the automatic minimization note goes
straight into the record. Thank you for the public source as well.
